I am a homeschool teacher , mostly self -taught artist and writer. I have degrees in Fine Art, Art History, and Commercial Art and Design. I home educate four children, who are the inspiration for my work. I am actively involved in Boy and Girl Scouts . I currently coach soccer and used to coach Little League. I design and make jewelry.
My artistic interests vary. I specialize in painting and drawing. I draw in graphite,colored pencil and charcoal. I paint in watercolors, acrylics, ink, soft and oil pastels. My subjects range from fantasy and folklore, landscapes and florals ,to portraits ( mostly of my family) . My style of art is very eclectic . I enjoy creating works in abtract, impressionism, realism , pop art and paper sculpture.
I grew up in Maryland and currently I reside in New Hampshire. I have traveled extensively across the United States , Canada and Mexico. My art is heavily influenced by my travels and experiences and I hope to help develop artistic expression in all those who come to me for guidance.
